The international IT department of Alphabet and the business side of Alphabet Nederland B.V. are searching for a (medior/senior) Agile Test Engineer to support our IT delivery teams. Alphabet is a European leading provider for mobility solutions and full-service-leasing fleet management.

We are looking for an experienced hands-on Test Engineer who can help us design, build and deliver the proposed business solutions for the core Back-office landscape of Alphabet Benelux. The assignment is full time in Breda and will initially last until 31 December, 2019. The assignment may possibly be extended for succeeding projects in 2020.

Tasks:

You will do the work together with other Alphabet (both business and IT) colleagues. It is also part of your task to share your knowledge with the Alphabet colleagues and help them gather the necessary experience.

At the end of the assignment you will also conduct knowledge transfer sessions in order to share your knowledge with the colleagues.

Thus your key tasks will be:

• Support Dutch and Belgian Business sides in making their UAT test process more “agile” (Agile Acceptance model);
• Test coordination of UAT;
• Implementing test (process) improvements.

As a member of the project team:

• Design, script and execute test cases.
• Provide test (iteration) plans and/or input on testing activities.
• Provide useful information on the quality of the test object(s) and the status of testing activities.
• Share and incorporate lessons learned in improved working assumptions, testing patterns and developer guidelines.
• Build and maintain a library of reusable, elegant test scripts.
• Document standards and guidelines for using these patterns and components.

Candidate profile:

• Proven experience with test processes and tools, specifically HP ALM/JIRA-Xray.
• Knowledge of PL/SQL, leasing industry is an advantage.
• Experience with Agile approach and working with JIRA, and preferably Confluence.
• Experience with designing, scripting and executing test cases.
• Experience with test (process) improvement is an advantage.
• Familiar with Context-driven & Exploratory Testing and testing is an advantage.
• Capable of working and thinking at different abstraction levels with business analysts, architects, test managers, business testers (during UAT) and non-technical stakeholders.
• Preferably certified ISEB/ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst or TMap NEXT Test Engineer.
• Must be able to communicate in English (in international projects)
• Very accurate and quality minded (finisher). Cooperative and articulated. Able to coach his peers.

Pay rate and availability:

The start date for this job is as soon as possible, untill the end of the year. The assignment may possibly be extended for succeeding projects in 2020. The max pay rate is € 68,- / €70,- incl. travel expenses and excl. VAT. The job is for 40 hours a week.
